That’s quite an elaborate story, but in short, it boils down to Vitesse not meeting the licensing requirements of the KNVB. The football association examines aspects such as finances, requiring an annual report signed by an independent accountant. Currently Vitesse doesn’t have enough money to pay. They must pay 18,9 million in 2 weeks or they will risk losing their professional club license.
